Subject: fixes for goldenlayout to initialize more cleanly.  updated all old
 ReactDOM.render() to ReactDom.createRoot().  fixes for PDF/Web sidebar
 sizing.  added text from pdf selection anchors to sidebar notes.   fixed  PDF
 text selection to align properly.
